THANK JESUS IT'S FRIDAY AGAIN!
PASS IT ON...& ON...& ON...& ON.
OCTOBER 10, 2003
SUBJECT: "A NEW COMMANDMENT."
AN ALL ENCOMPASSING COMMANDMENT WAS GIVEN BY JESUS CHRIST. THIS COMMANDMENT, IF ADHERED TO, WOULD ELIMINATE ALL CRIME. (OF COURSE, WE KNOW THAT ELIMINATION OF ALL CRIME IS IMPOSSIBLE AT THIS TIME,) BUT GOD STILL MADE A WAY FOR THOSE OF US WHO SEEK THE BETTER LIFE, TO AIM AND OCCASIONALLY SUCCEED AT BEING MORE THAN SELF CENTERED INDIVIDUALS.
NOTEWORTHY: THE TEN COMMANDMENTS ARE STILL IN THE NEWS.
FRIDAY'S WORD: SUBJUGATE
IN THE MIRROR: SLC LOOKS AT A METAPHOR
O TASTE AND SEE! A BIG POT OF GREEN BEANS WITH SAUCE FOR YOUR TURKEY TABLE. ENJOY!

TER A NEW COMMANDMENT
John 13: 33-35; "Little children, yet a little while I am with you. Ye shall seek me: and as I said unto the Jews, whither I go, ye cannot come: so now I say to you. A new commandment I give unto you; That ye love one another, as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another."
The "Ten Commandments" have been in the News for about three months. TJIFA was privileged to write about them two weeks last month. We hope that our readers have taken advantage of the references that were made about the ‘Bill of Rights,' and the ‘Ten Commandments.' Prayerfully this week's Newsletter will continue to enhance our knowledge in such an important area of life.
Many modern thinking Christians feel that the ‘Ten Commandments' are "Old Testament Laws," and since Jesus never said anything about them, then they are to be understood, but rarely referred to. It is my hope that after reading today's Newsletter, you'll begin to see with revelation that the "Ten Commandments" were and are, as relative today; And in the day that Jesus spoke, as they were when GOD gave them to Moses.
Jesus spoke of a "New Commandment" in our scripture text. This ‘Commandment' is "Love one another."
LOVE. A command that's so easy, and yet so hard. Jesus summed all of the Commandments up with one command.... "LOVE one another."
We've gotten used to hearing about murders, rapes, theft, fornication and adultery in the News. The only difference in the News is the names of persons involved. It's been said that many crimes are ‘copy cat' crimes, which means that they mimic one another. The mind set is, ‘if it can be done, than it can be done better.' There seems to be no regard for victim's feelings, or their families by the perpetrator.
And the criminal does his research to find out if the state in which he plans to do his crime has the death penalty. These crimes are costing states millions of dollars. Dollars spent on getting evidence; crime laboratories; District Attorneys; Prosecutors; Judges; Juries; Court Reporters; Deputies; File Clerks; Wardens; Jailers; Food, Lodging and clothing for Inmates; Who complain about their forced confinement, as if it should be equivalent to a paid room at the Ritz - Carlton.
The families of victims must pay for the perpetrator's room and board even though they suffer the loss of a loved one. The victim's family has been desecrated in every way. They hear the findings of the Prosecutor, acts done against their loved one. Many family members have had to leave the Court Room because of the tragic uncovering their deceased family member experienced.
The Criminal is usually ‘tried,' for what he's done against the victim; but there are other victims in all crimes. The other victims are the people who loved the victim. These people and family members have witnessed the breaking of every Law of GOD against them. It's not just a murder; It's a ‘theft' of a life from it's permanent position in the family. It's the worse case of fornication and adultery against a husband who loses his wife; or the depletion of honor toward a mother from a child; it's the displacement of Praise to GOD from a Worshiper; it's the listening, deciphering and forbearing of false witness by the family; and the encapsulating of love toward others.
IF.......The Perpetrator had even a drop of love for another, he wouldn't have disregarded the sanctity of, ‘Human Life.'
Jesus made it so plain to His Disciples. "Love one another as I have loved you."
Have you ever felt the LOVE of GOD?
When a person wants to love an ‘unlovable,' he should attempt to put himself in the place of that ‘unlovable' individual. Jesus did it. He came to earth as a man to live this life HOLY. By this he experienced the life that He came to save. (He now sits at the Right Hand of God the Father ever making intercession for Saints.) When you endeavor to love ‘unlovable' people, an attempt to understand them is necessary. (It's not always possible, but it is necessary.)
This practice will lead you to a life of, ‘Intercessory Prayer.' Standing in the gap for those whom you love. You'll find yourself praying for people you don't know. Even for people who have suffered great loss, according to the News. Your heart will be touched, and you'll no longer just view the Nightly News, but you'll look for situations to bring to Our Loving Father in Jesus' Name. "Love one another, as I have loved you."
This is not farfetched. What do you think Jesus would do?

NOTEWORTHY:
The Montgomery Alabama marble statue of the Ten Commandments remains locked up in a room. One commentator said that, "You can dismiss and nullify the laws of man; but you can't nullify, ‘MERCY."
There is a movement of people across the Southern States in busses. They are traveling to Washington D.C. to make their dissatisfaction known about the removal of the Ten Commandments from various Court Rooms and Houses.
In one state (unknown) someone cut thee word "GOD" out of the bottom of the American Flag, to prevent controversy. Now the American flag flies in that state with a big hole where, "GOD" used to be and the rest of the sentence says:"... Bless America."
All of the above statements were taken from various News channels, and reports.

Dr. David Jeremiah said that we have it all backwards. We think that to spank a child is abuse. But He said, "Not to spank a child is abuse."

FRIDAY'S WORD: subjugate-sub*ju*gate;(verb)- bring under one's control; to conquer; defeat or overwhelm completely; make submissive; enslave
IN THE MIRROR:
"There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death." Proverbs 14: 12... KJV
"There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death." Proverbs 16:25...KJV
Do you think God made a mistake to put such similar verses in scripture, or would we look at them one day, and possibly contemplate their meaning?
It's been difficult not to think about the "Magician," "Animal Trainer," and "Star Entertainer" in recent news. I never think about these incidents without having feelings of compassion for family, friends, and loved ones.
The word is: metaphor; its definition: "use of a word denoting one kind of object, or idea in place of another to suggest a likeness between them; a comparison, or a comparison of things basically unlike, but having some striking similarities.
The Bible is in many ways a metaphorical book, filled with the knowledge, and wisdom that only a Sovereign, Omniscience God could have given unto mankind.
What happened this past week put me so much in mind of what takes place in the heart, and mind of man. We operate our lives everyday in some respect or another depending on our carnal minds, and bodies to never fail us along the way while accomplishing our most desired goals.
Once the tragedy happened, (and this is far from the first time that a trainer has been injured, or killed by a ‘wild' animal) and the Tiger he raised from a baby is obviously no longer subjugated, the Reporters consult the ‘experts,' and the biologist, and it is then the listening world learns, "there are genetics in animals born in the wild that can never be changed, regardless of the length of days, or years the animal has been in captivity."
The Bible contrast the carnal, mundane nature of man, and the Spirit of God given to us through His Son Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 2:9-16) There is much to learn and discover about our own, "genetics," that means we can save a life(ours) that doesn't have to be wasted, because of our willfulness to ignore the nature in which we are born.
Right now in your life today, it may seem so right to do things ‘your' way, "after all we're all a heterogeneous people aren't we?" Yes! But no matter how you argue the point of diversity, the Bible is still going to say very clearly that Christ died for all.
There's always going to be something in your life that will come in a form of a metaphor, because that's the way God planned it, but only you can make the lasting determination whether the "end thereof " will be the way of death, or Eternal Life in Christ Jesus! S.L.C.
