SUBJECT: FEAR NOT

WE HAVE HEARD ABOUT CODE ORANGE.  WE HAVE BEEN TOLD HOW TO PROTECT OURSELVES IN THE CASE OF A POSSIBLE BIOLOGICAL AIR CONTAMINATION.  WE HAVE BEEN TOLD TO WATCH OTHERS CAREFULLY AND REPORT ANY AND ALL STRANGE OCCURRENCES.  

THERE ARE MANY WHO CAN'T AFFORD PLASTIC OR DUCK TAPE FOR THEIR WINDOWS.  WHAT SHOULD THEY DO?    AS ALWAYS, TJIFA TAKES YOU BACK TO FOUNDATIONAL TRUTHS WITH THE WORD OF GOD.  TRUST GOD PRAY AND KNOW THAT ABSENT FROM THE BODY PRESENT WITH THE LORD.  (IF YOU ARE A CHRISTIAN)

CODE ORANGE STAY READY! BFF

The students heard in school that the President had announced "Code Orange," which means that the whole country stands in preparation for WAR, and is vigilant and alert for  terrorist activity.  The alert precautions  were handed out to every student.  They included watching everyone closely and reporting any and all strange activities in your neighborhood.  They also suggested that everyone buy plastic, and shield their windows by taping it to the outside with, Duck Tape.  

Frederick read the instructions very closely as he placed the items on his check list.  After school, he ran out, pushing everyone aside, hurriedly.  

Big Fat Frog and Cindy weren't in as much of a rush, so they walked slowly and talked.  As they approached Frederick's house, they saw him and his father frantically hammering up plastic and sealing it with Duck Tape.   Frederick shouted from one of the ladders, "You'd better hurry, the duck tape is almost sold out, and the only plastic that there is left, is the real thin kind.  We've got the best over our windows.  We don't have to worry about anything."  

The two of them began walking faster.  They didn't say too much.  Then Cindy began the conversation, "Frog, what do you think will happen to those who don't have plastic?"  
"I don't know." replied Big Fat Frog.
When they arrived at Big Fat Frog's house, his mother was planting her spring flowers, and his father was clearing away some of the trash that had blown into their yard.   Cindy immediately told them about the Code Orange, because she felt they couldn't have known about it.  They both nodded their heads, thanked her, and his mother offered her an after school snack.  

Big Fat Frog walked Cindy home and when they arrived they found her parents talking in the kitchen.  Cindy couldn't hold her anticipation any longer.  She asked, "What are we going to do for Code Orange"?  
Her father answered, "Cindy, we can't afford to DO ANYTHING!  We can keep our eyes open and watch for anything strange and report it, but, any other preparations, like plastic and Duck Tape is out of the question."  
"May I walk half way with Frog?"  Asked Cindy.
"Of course, hurry back."  Answered her parents.  

Cindy began to cry as she revealed her thoughts to Big Fat Frog.  She said, "We never have the money to do what needs to be done.  We'll die because we are poor.  We're always put in position to beg GOD for what we need.  Big Fat Frog stopped.  He felt himself getting angry, and tried to suppress his true hurt from what Cindy had said.  He asked, "Do you think it's bad to have to depend on GOD?"  
"Well, no, but..."
"But, What?"  Big Fat Frog asked. "But, what else or who else can you depend on in a time like this?  Maybe it's for the Christian to stand so that the light of GOD can be seen, during a time when the whole Nation is afraid and needs to know that GOD is the only answer."  
"Well, I...my family is so poor...and everyone else will have the plastic on their window.  Everyone except us."
"Cindy, my family doesn't have it, on the inside or the outside."  Reported Big Fat Frog.  
"Are you sure?  You haven't been inside since you came from school." Taunted Cindy.  
"Come on!  Hurry!"  shouted Big Fat  Frog.
They ran through his house, Cindy checking every window.  When she was   convinced that her family wasn't alone in the absence of adherence to the newest mandate of  "Code Orange," she happily ran home, yelling, "See ya next time, Big Fat Frog."

I encourage readers of TJIFA to come together in prayer during this time of turmoil and temptation to turn to that which we know is sure.  The WORD of GOD.  Many won't be able to afford to cover their windows with plastic and Duck Tape, but we can all afford to cover our souls and the souls of our families with the BLOOD OF JESUS!  

Our position is to stand...Praying, with our loins girded  about with TRUTH  having the breast plate of righteousness and our feet shod with the preparation of the GOSPEL OF PEACE.  Above all taking the Shield of FAITH, where by we shall be able to quench every fiery dart of the enemy, the helmet of SALVATION and the SWORD OF THE SPIRIT  which is the WORD of GOD.  Praying always. [Ephesians 6]

NOTEWORTHY:

GOD is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.  Ps. 46:1

The Lord is my light and my salvation; I will fear no one.  The Lord protects me from all danger; I will never be afraid.  When evil men attack me and try to kill me, they stumble and fall.  Even if a whole army surrounds me, I will not be afraid; even if enemies attack me, I will still trust GOD.  Ps. 27:1-3

Now I know that the Lord gives victory to His chosen king; He answers him from His Holy Heaven and by His power gives him great victories.     Some trust in their war chariots and others in their horses, but we trust in the power of the Lord  our God.   Some people will stumble and fall, but we will rise and stand firm.

For God hath now given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.   2 Timothy 1:7

FRIDAY'S WORD:   ostensible; os*ten*si*ble; of questionable truth or genuineness; something professed or declared as true without being demonstrated or proved.

We have much more than just ‘ostensible' evidence that God's word is a means by which every life can be saved.

IN THE MIRROR:
If you're anything like myself today you are more than likely looking at a lot of news,  and hearing even that much more talk about WAR. You may walk by a News stand or see on the front cover of  your local newspaper the unfriendly topic, War! In any event it's a difficult subject to get around, and as Christians we have been given enough promises in the Bible that we won't evade the thought of such a dreaded threat.

In light of all the remedies that we could share with one another pertaining to the fears that are no doubt nationwide, and spreading, there is one single word that I would like to impart to your spirit , and that isolated, but most powerful word is, TRUTH!

I'm not talking about the truth about who is right or wrong, or who will win or lose for that matter, because there  are multiple casualties (on both sides) in any war. There's no political position I could take up with you that wouldn't be arbitrarily confirmed or denied.

There's something that scripture just doesn't posit, but is unequivocally stated in John  14:6a, Jesus is speaking where He says "I am the way, the TRUTH, and the life;" HE didn't say He was "telling the truth," but He is the TRUTH, [Logos] sent from God the Father.

It's my prayer that you, the reader, won't view this as some theological point, because this is something that God has made very lucid  to a world in dire need of a Savior.
When this is transmuted in your heart, you'll find yourself in a position pretty much like mine, restless, until you can feel within that you've shared this TRUTH, with everyone you know.

Perhaps the next time you hear or see, or think in terms of ‘war', the word "TRUTH"  will aggrandize in your spirit. It's a much better word. Don't you agree???

SCOTTY'S SUGAR COOKIES


1 CUP BUTTER
1 CUP VEGETABLE OIL
1 ½    CUP CONFECTIONERS SUGAR
1 CUP GRANULATED SUGAR
2 EGGS
1 TSP VANILLA EXTRACT
4 ½ CUPS ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
1 TSP BAKING SODA
1 TSP CREAM OF TARTER
½ CUP GRANULATED SUGAR FOR DECORATIONS



DIRECTIONS:  :
PREHEAT OVEN TO  350F
IN LARGE BOWL CREAM TOGETHER BUTTER VEGETABLE OIL AND  ALL SUGARS
BEAT IN EGGS ONE AT A TIME AND STIR IN VANILLA
COMBINE FLOUR, BAKING SODA, CREAM    OF TARTER
STIR INTO THE CREAMED MIXTURE.
ROLL DOUGH INTO 1 INCH BALLS
ROLL BALLS IN REMAINING GRANULATED SUGAR.
BAKE ON UNGREASED COOKIE SHEET AND FLATTEN WITH A FORK

:CRUSH YOUR FAVORITE NUTS FINELY, AND ROLL THE SUGAR COATED BALLS IN IT.
FINELY CRUSHED AND TOASTED   ALMONDS. ARE REALLY GREAT.  
BAKE 13-20  MIN OR UNTIL EDGES ARE BROWN.
