Matthew 13: 24-30
Big Fat Frog hand picked the weeds in the front lawn. He liked to leisurely find and dig up each troublesome root, so that it wouldn't grow back as quickly. He remembered what his father had said about the troublesome weeds.
His father said that troublesome weeds don't grow in a patch by themselves, because they want the good soil and fertilizer that comes with the beautiful grass. So, you have to let them grow up with the grass, just like the Bible teaches; but when they are both grown up the troublesome weeds are easily noticed and plucked up. By then, the grass has roots strong enough to continue when the troublesome weed is torn out.
Suddenly, Big Fat Frog remembered his dream. Suddenly, he was in the midst of his horrible, horrible dream. He froze with a weed in one hand and leaning close to the ground with the other. His dream was as real in that moment, as it was the night he dreamt it. ....
The Dream:
Big Fat Frog's Church had been boarded up and his Pastor taken away by "The Cleansers." They had secretly monitored their Church services and declared them to be "Anti-Cleansing." This meant that the Church building and all of its members would eventually come under strict surveillance. This surveillance resulted in scorn, persecution, or possibly even death.
The Cleansers took earthly possessions, bank accounts, jewelry and children under ten years old. They snatched jewelry off of Christians and misused their helpless and women. They tore up Bibles and all printed Christian material in front of them and blasphemed their seemingly ‘helpless' GOD, who let them, ‘The Cleansers,' do these things to them; The Christians.
The Cleansers said that Christians were WEEDS and had grown long enough in their world. They intended to pluck them up and destroy them so that they would never return to their world again.
All children wore uniforms to school, and all schools were monitored to protect the children from invading Bible toting aliens of The Cleansing. Children were encouraged to observe their parents for "Prayer-like" behavior. Children were told to report any discipline that was initiated against the child populace. In the schools, parents weren't allowed to come in and sit in on any classes and the Text Books were never sent home. Any type of banner or flag was banned, since the government couldn't decide on which flag to fly. All flags were disbanded.
It was a civil disobedience to fly flags in your own yard. Christmas lights were outlawed due to the hazardous nature and combustible tendency. Easter Egg hunts were disallowed because the children were placed in a position of competition and greed; and this took away from the scholastic skills of the individual if they were to suffer too much failure early in life.
Frederick was in his real world. He wore tall black shiny boots, and walked with authority signifying that he would exert his power on whomever; He had no friends. (Especially NOT BFF.) He carried a clipboard with much paper in place, taking notes of every kind. He had his portable dictionary and a rule book that was well worn. FREDERICK'S IN CHARGE! A NIGHTMARE SURE!
There were places where Christians hid, but their locations were changed every day so as not to be found out. His parents BFF's, were displaced in this melee. BFF found himself with Cindy, who was afraid and nervous. She tried to stay faithful, but there were times when she just broke down and cried. These were the times when she denied her position in Christ. BFF felt sorry for her.
Big Fat Frog was intent to find his parents and since Cindy was with him, he also helped her to search for her parents. He noticed that Cindy had on a pink dress and a sweater to match. He also noticed that when they were in the company of one of the Cleansers, she was abnormally quiet and wore the school coat pulled together covering the pink outfit. He asked her "Why do you cover your outfit? And why are you so quiet?" She didn't answer him, but continued in silence. What he didn't know is that Cindy had acquired a Pass for ‘deaf and dumb' and wouldn't be questioned by the Cleansers.
They ran for what seemed like miles, with Cindy taking her coat off and hugging it close around her depending upon the situation. They would run into Frederick everywhere and he, with his clipboard, threatened to tell on them. At one time, when the Cleansers came too close, Cindy jumped on Frederick's motorbike and pulled out the pass. By the time that Frederick explained the circumstance, the Cleanser was called away. And so the dream continued with BFF and Cindy running away from Frederick, who was the only Cleanser who knew that her pass was invalid. They spent so much time avoiding the Cleansers that looking for their parents became secondary.
In this dream, Frederick called BFF an intransigent. He told BFF that he would never change. Frederick talked about BFF's belief and how it was time for a new regime and the ‘Cleansing' was it. He said that BFF's GOD had been too slow for many people and that The Cleansing was FAST and sure. He bragged about how they had taken from the hopeless and given to the strong, and that the New Generation would be stronger than the last because there would be no more people, like him and his family to spoil and corrupt these new innocent minds. If your GOD had been able and if you so called Christians had prayed you never would have been in this mess. But the strong has survived and the weeds will be burned out of existence. Your counterparts were easily bought out. They were glad to be a part of this new regime. All they wanted to do is be sure that their stuff wouldn't be taken from them.
They wanted SECURITY! And the Cleansing gave it to them. They wanted safe schools, where their children wouldn't be harmed. No more guns and knives; no drugs; no wimpy doctrine; no worry about them being alone until parents get home from work. We took care of all of their problems! No more Weeds! End of Dream.
"Frog. What are you doing?" Asked Cindy. She discovered him bent down in the yard as if a statue. She told him that she had been calling him for a few moments since she walked up the drive. "You look as if you've seen a ghost. What's wrong?"
"Cindy. I was thinking about how things could be in this world. I have seen a glimpse of horror." said Big Fat Frog.
"Oh, I've had dreams like that too, but not out on the lawn. Maybe that's a vision. Are you going to tell me about it?" "I don't know.." Replied BFF.
"Come on Frog. I won't tell anyone."
Big Fat Frog sat down on the steps and told Cindy the dream, then he said to her...
"Cindy, we are in a time like never before. It is a time when the weeds will grow to a specified height and they will think that they are as strong as we are. They will attempt to take over, and it will seem that they have...BUT GOD! has promised us that we will prevail...IF WE PRAY!"
We must pray like we have never prayed before. We can't allow anything to turn us from the WORD of GOD. There's a place for people like Frederick and there's a place for people like me. There's NO PLACE for fence walking between the double yellow line in the middle of the road carrying a bucket of luke warm water. You'll fool the other side for a while, but be sure they will find you out in time.
Cindy looked extremely thoughtful. She asked Big Fat Frog, "Do you think that I ..." Just as she was preparing to ask her question, Frederick appeared with his bike all clean and fixed. He petitioned BFF, "Want to race?"
"Not right now Frederick, I'm talking to Cindy" Then Frederick taunted Cindy, "Want a ride on my fixed bike? It's fresh in from the shop. You'll never ride a bike like this one. It's faster than the wind."
"Well, I,...Why not?" answered Cindy. And off she went leaving BFF alone and wondering how many more weeds he would pull this day.
Big Fat Frog busied himself in the yard, and about fifteen minutes later his mother called him to the phone. It was Cindy. "Did you see Frederick go by?" She asked.
"No. Why?" answered Big Fat Frog.
"We ran into a big rock an both fell off. He bent his front fender and I scraped my knee and forehead pretty bad."
"Oh, Cindy, I wish that you hadn't gotten on his bike."
"Well, Frog, that story you told me was just a dream, so why not?"
"Was it a dream, Cindy? Wait! I hear Frederick now. He's yelling my name and accusing me of telling you to get on his bike. In fact he must be walking his bike to be going so slow. Wait...Yep. He's limping his bike home and scowling. Was it a dream, Cindy?"
Wheat and tares will grow together, but one will be burned. If you don't know which one you are, today is the day to make a choice.

IN THE MIRROR:
Question: When you look around to see what God is saying, where do you look?
This week I had the good fortune to look up in the sky overhead and witness a faithful airplane pilot circling over the friendly skies in the area of metropolitan Atlanta waving a very clear banner on the tail end of his aircraft with the words; "THOU SHALL NOT KILL – GOD."
I found myself staring up for quite a while in order to make sure I was getting the right message from what I was seeing. This is one of those messages that you just don't want to misinterpret, when it seems to be carrying a message pertaining to your Father.
Once fairly convinced that this was one of the 10 Commandments listed in the 20th chapter of Exodus, there was a sigh of relief and even admiration for the person, or persons responsible for such an effort.
There was still another dimension to this eventful privilege that wouldn't seem to let go of my inquisitive thinking; That in the following days ahead there weren't any banners prepared that would be displaying the other nine (9) Commandments, signed by God.
Extracting all political overtones, and complimenting the sincere efforts of those responsible for such a benevolent act, my attention was not only drawn to the other essential Commandments, but there's a whole new Covenant to be considered that won't even fit on the tail-end of an aircraft, unless it's spelled... "B-I-B-L-E."
As you read this message, which I believe comes from the heart of God, I can only implore you, take another look at the whole counsel of scripture, because any one area of the Bible that we may find ourselves ‘spiritually' stuck in, could be the very one that God is trying to free us from. Man is always looking at time, time, time; While a sovereign God is incessantly looking at our ETERNITY. Never forget that while we are yet creators of time, the New Testament is more than clear on the fact that we are made for Eternity.
Perhaps the next time you happen to look around and see something of interest to you that seems to carry God's signature, you'll go to that age old trusted Book, the one that our ancestors trusted in, called "The Bible," and see the whole picture that God is painting through the work of the Holy Spirit.

POUR INTO LARGE TUBE PAN COOK AT 325 FOR 2 - 21/2 HOURS
