I HAVE NO MAN.
John 5: 7. The sick man answered and said," Since, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is moving,, but while I am coming another steps down before me. " NKJV___________________________________________________________
This week is that of Father's Day. I wish all of the Fathers; A Blessed and Happy Day. TJIFA encourages Dads; Daddies; Pops; and Grand Faathers a Blessed and wonderful Father's Day. This week we will focus on your role today in a little different way.
This week's passage comes from John the fifth chapter. Where we find Jesus going into the City of Jerusalem for a Feast of the Jews. He stops by the Sheep Gate where there are five pools and laying in this place are multitudes of people waiting for the water to be troubled by the ANGEL so they could be healed. Out of that multitude Jesus picks one man to converse with. Hie had been at the Sheep Gate for eight years waiting for healing, and not only waiting, but trying hard to get into the water so that he could be healed. Even though he knew that he had a
problem, he didn't know the solution.
He thought that his solution was in having a man to help him to get into the moving water. What he really needed was "The Saviour.
We live in a society that blames the Father, Pops, Dad, for many things. It is said that children who run in gangs need a Father. Single women can't raise their own children...They need a Daddy. Boys who become mixed up in their sexual orientation....need a male role model, which is usually a Father. It's true that Father's are necessary and needed in the family. But the absence of a Father isn't to be the proverbial ‘Scape Goat' for all of life's problems. In War times fathers were killed in action. Traveling fathers are gone 85% of the time. Some working fathers are at home but barely see their children, and when they do it's not a pleasant relationship . Other fathers are just down right abusive. Abusive to their children as well as to their spouse. But... Wait!
I'm looking for balance here. On one hand it is good to have the father in the home, on the other hand you must raise a question. At this point the only response would be..."I have No Man." No father. No husband. No man. How does God deal with not having a father in so many homes? How could a just and sovereign God not make allowances for such a large group of humans? Before even attempting to answer this question, there is a story I'd like to tell you.
A Minister found a woman who was very miserable. She had a relationship that had gone sour and the male friend was harassing her with phone calls at all hours of the night with threats. She told the police, but they referred her to the doctor. She told the doctor and they referred her to the police. Everyone looked away from her problem, because it was unsolvable.
in man's power– unsolvable . After listening patiently the Minister offered the woman THE ONLY THING AVAILABLE. The woman angrily refused any of this type of unseen , untouchable, help, saying, "I need some one that I can see and touch, some one that I can talk to and who will listen to my problems. I don't need any body that I can't see."
The Minister had to leave the woman and take back the most precious help available to man
This woman and many more are as sick as the man in John fifth chapter. They have no man. The sick man told Jesus his problem, I'm sure hoping that He could stay with him long enough to help him into the moving water. The sick man saw a young Jesus who looked strong enough to do the job. The only thing that He, Jesus, needed to do is stay with him physically and help him. Jesus, knowing the solution wanted to bring the sick man into the resolution. Not understanding, the sick man began rehashing verbiage about what he had seen and thought to be real. People jumping ahead of him. Others helping friends into the moving water, and "I have No Man!"
Today, children have no man- Father - that they can see. That woman in the story had - no man - that she could see. The man in the Bible had - no man - that he could see.
There is no situation circumstance, embarrassment or condition that God has not made a means of escape for us . He has given us Jesus He is our man when we have no man. He's our helper and comforter. He leads and guides the fatherless. He's the husbandman to the widow and the Father to the fatherless. He's the comforter in times of worry and stress, He's the Doctor for the sick.
Jesus, personally , tells us that when we pray we should say, "Our Father..." Or ABBA. Or Daddy. To me that interprets that NO ONE is without a loving Father.
Psychiatrists, Sociologists, ans Psychologists draw a blank into the life of any who have not lived with their father or a substitute. These same people will take that child and place him in a home with not just one father but two. Not just one mother but two. God has breathed into the life of every man, woman, boy and girl a substitutionary, sufficient and significantly satisfying SAVIOR - FATHER - FRIEND - JESUS!
No one is left out if you believe. And that's what I like about Jesus.
So this Father's Day you can STOP thinking about what you didn't get, or what your children don't have. You can STOP drawing blanks in others lives., and pouring out Textbook expectations of Gang Participants; Hoodlums; Gender Disorientation; Family Disruption; Divorce; and mental anguish.
Let's Praise and Worship Our Heavenly Father this Father's Day and
Keep Looking Forward.
See Ya Next Week

NOTEWORTHY:
Dear Prayer Warriors:
It is with heavy heart that I must tell you about Martin Berman. He was killed in the attempt to extract him from the Gorillas in the Philippines. The Nurse was also killed in the attack and Gracia Berman was wounded. She was taken to a hospital where she was recovering..
I thank each and every one of you that prayed for the safe return of this couple and the Nurse. Please continue to pray for Gracia Berman and the entire Berman family. Remember that these Great Missionaries have children who also need volumes of prayer.
Pray for Peace in Jerusalem. Pray that these explosive devices will be rendered unusable. God can do it!
In The Mirror:
On Parent's Day in an Elementary School All of the children were to bring in pictures, one of their Mother and one of their Father. The teacher and some of the classmates wondered about one little boy whose Father wasn't in the home.
When it was his turn he told about his Mother and then showed her picture. But everyone was amazed when he spoke of his Father. He seemed to be able to do everything. He was a carpenter; A Fisherman; A Doctor and on and on. He had the class's total respect and attention. But the teacher wasn't convinced. She said well, now , show us his picture. The little boy held up an empty picture frame and said "Nobody has ever taken his picture." He's invisible!
Of course we all know who his Father is, but the class of young children will never forget that day. The day they heard about a wonderful and great invisible Father.
