( A NARRATIVE BY TER)

John 1:1,2; In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with GOD, and the Word was GOD.  The same was in the beginning with GOD.

John 3:16; For  GOD  so  loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  
      
John 14: 1-3; Let not your heart be troubled, ye believe in GOD believe also in me.  In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so I would have told you. I  go to prepare a place for you; and if I go to prepare a place, I will come again, and receive you unto myself, that where I am, there ye  may be also.
              
Romans 10: 9; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that GOD hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.  

In the mind of the Father was a beautiful thought.  A thought to make a man who was in His image.  He would put this man in a place that was similar to His own dwelling.  This place he called Earth.  

His Son, who is also His Word,  was with Him during this process of planning and creating.  In  fact, His Son was with Him from the beginning and created all things.  They together created man, and then woman.  They gave them from the beginning a will, and the ability to choose.  If they hadn't, they would have been worse than a dictator, who never gives his people a choice to choose him, or the other party.  

GOD, His Son, and His Spirit knew that man would eventually choose  wrong;  so  they made a plan of SALVATION that would redeem His creation from being lost through eternity.  This SALVATION plan was the  premise ‘from the beginning.'  In the book of Genesis  GOD evaluated everything that He did, and called it GOOD.  And everything was GOOD!  

Satan watched from afar, and saw the LOVE that GOD had toward  man.  Surely Satan remembered when GOD expended His time and love toward him in that same way.  Satan's jealousy inflamed him, and soon he was talking with the woman.    Essentially everyone knows the story of Adam and Eve, and the fall in the Garden of  Paradise.  

The beguilement in the Garden of Adam and Eve by the serpent, Satan, started the clock of SALVATION.  "Had they never been tricked, Salvation's clock would   have never ticked."  

The sinful flesh was now  dominating GOD's creation.  That which is born of the flesh is flesh,  and would never be born without sin. The elixir of life, which is the blood, holds the key to life.  As long as the blood is moving and warm, the body is alive.  In the flesh, the blood carries oxygen, to every part of the body; it carries nutrients to the cells; it transports wastes from the body; it enhances the immune system, and gives life saving water to all parts of the body.  

When there aren't enough blood cells in any body, it can become anemic,  and lose its health. For several different kinds of diseases, the body's  needs  demand that it be transfused.  This means that another person's healthy  blood is given to the ailing body, and this healthy blood replenishes the worn cells; That under these circumstances wouldn't have survived.  This remedy is only good for the flesh...the body. Sin still rages. The old roots of the original sin continue to thrive in this body.  

Just like a transfusion, was necessary; in the physical body because of illness; likewise sin is only dealt with, and eradicated by the transfusion of the Holy  "BLOOD of JESUS CHRIST."  This ‘Precious Blood' is readily available upon believing, and confessing with your mouth.  The love of GOD for man brought about the sacrificial lamb, His Son, and He, as mediator and judge, accepted this sin offering once and for all for every man, woman, boy, and girl.  It is written, "No one comes unto the Father, but by me."  It is no wonder.  The Father has given a great gift, and He won't allow it to be overlooked or misrepresented.

(And, we must never forget that Jesus died the substitutionary  through pain, suffering and humiliation, in our place.  His objectives were met, His motives clear, and His work completed in full view of the world.  The eyes of men beheld the  Crucifixion of The Son of GOD.  They saw the stripes on His back, the places where His  beard was torn from His face; They saw the bitterness of the angry crowd as they scorned Our Savior; They witnessed the nails being pounded into His hands, and feet; They rejoiced when they saw His blood flow; They heard His last words from the cross; They saw Him give up the Ghost; Even the Roman spear that found its way into the side of an already deceased Savior, which allowed the blood and water to flow signifying His demise.  They saw the dark clouds and felt the earth shake; They knew of the drape that was torn from top to bottom in the Holy of Holies; They saw the Prophets rise from the dead and walk in the streets of Jerusalem; Many saw Him after He rose  up from the dead...BUT!  They denied that it happened.  They saw and didn't believe.  I pray that you, who hear, will believe and confess Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.  If not, your plight is the same as those witnesses who actually saw, and still willfully denied.  TER)

 
Jesus Christ came to this earth as fully GOD, and fully man.  He was born of a virgin, Mary.  The reason for this is that Jesus couldn't have the blood of man.  He had to have the pure blood of His Father,  GOD,  in order to redeem man from his sin.  It is a fact that children are born with the blood type of the father, and not the woman.  So, the plan of SALVATION was in place with the birth of Jesus.  

It is a reasonable question to ask and wonder why He had to come as a baby, why didn't He come as purely GOD?  The answer is that He had to be BORN here in order   to be in the  position  of Dominion,   and to take back that which was stolen from man in the Garden.   If He had come as GOD only, He would have been as out of place as Satan was when he stole the BIRTHRIGHT from man in the garden. GOD is not an outlaw.  He made the rules, and followed them to the letter.  

The love of GOD gave us Jesus; the love of Jesus gave us access to the Father; through Jesus' death and resurrection He gave us SALVATION, which penetrates beyond the boundaries of time, and explodes in Eternity.  An Eternity of Love, Joy, and Peace  spent in the presence of Jesus Christ and His Holy Hosts.  What more is there?   There is more than our finite  minds could scrape up  and regurgitate.  It's not necessary for us to ‘die' another death on the cross; it's not necessary to be beaten and spit on; it's not even necessary to  do penance; to help GOD cleanse you of sin.  He needs no help.  Remember?  He's the one who put into place the plan of SALVATION...before we ever needed it.   

THE NECESSARY COMPONENTS:
CONFESS with your mouth, The Lord Jesus Christ. .

BELIEVE in your heart, that GOD raised Jesus from the dead.

And  the  only way that you can confess anything is to know its makeup.  To know the history that has been shortly, but aptly put before your eyes, and in your hearing today will help you to understand what you are confessing and believing.  

There are too many Christians who don't  know WHY they are Christians, or IF they are saved.  

SALVATION is the most awesome!  The word ‘awesome' can be used with, and in this context because it pertains to Almighty GOD; and SALVATION comes only from GOD through Jesus Christ.  Don't let any man fool you!  There is NO other way by which we can be saved or experience SALVATION...BUT GOD.     

A Prayer of SALVATION:  
Our Father, thank you for your Son Jesus.  I repent of all sin,  and I am sorry for my sin.  I ask forgiveness from your throne of mercy and  Grace.  I confess with my mouth (out loud) that Jesus Christ is Lord of my life.  I believe that GOD the Father, raised Jesus Christ up from the dead, and that He now sits at the right hand of GOD making intercession for the saints.  I believe that Jesus died for me the sacrificial atoning death to free me.  Thank You Jesus.   

Lord, I don't want to just see your face, but I want to live in that place that you have prepared for me.  As of today, Lord, I am your child, teach me to be a servant of the Most High in Jesus' Name, Thank You...Amen.

According to Moody Radio News WAFS 920AM Thursday, September 17,2003:    Ministries must be careful about the people whom they hire to work with children.  When there is any litigation brought against a Ministry or Church, the prosecutor attempts to show that the Ministry or Church is more  particular in the scanning of their employees who handle their finances than those who are placed over the children.   

Many law suits have  been won because this flaw was made evident.  
(A word to the wise is sufficient.)

IN THE MIRROR:
Here are a few paragraphs taken from Wycliffe's Bible Encyclopedia, Moody Press  regarding Salvation. All the terms are not going to be overly clear, because he share's a lot of Greek, and Hebrew in his Encyclopedia, but we do hope you will be pleasantly spiritually enhanced after searching through the scriptures. I've heard it said enough times that; " it's good to be able to give an account for what you believe." There's much more to be read and discovered on page, 1506 under ‘Salvation', and if we were able to give you enough to stir up a spiritual hunger, well I just say, "Praise the Lord".

"Various terms for Salvation occur frequently through out the Bible. In the O.T. the most important Hebrew word is, yasha', which signifies freedom from what binds or restricts.  Hence the verb means to deliver, liberate, give width and breadth to.  The several nouns derived from this root mean both the act of deliverance or  rescuing (1Sam. 11:9,KJV"help"), the resultant state of safety, welfare, and prosperity(2 Sam 23:5; Ps. 12:6,) and victory over one's foes (2Sam 23:10,12;Ps..98:1). The Hiphil     participle of this verb is the word for "Savior,"moshia' and it comes from the name Joshua, and its Grecized form Jesus, both meaning "Yah(weh) saves."

Salvation brings the righteousness of GOD to man when he meets the condition of faith in Christ (Romans 1:16-17; 1Cor. 1:21).  It is based on the death of Christ for the remission of sins in accord with the just requirements of a Holy GOD (Romans 3:21-26).  The basic accomplishments of Salvation include redemption, reconciliation, and  propitiation.  Redemption means full release because of the payment of a ransom price  2Peter2:1; Gal 3:13; Mt. 20:28).  Reconciliation means that because of Christ's death, man's relationship with GOD has been changed from a state of enmity, to one of fellowship (Romans 5:10).  Propitiation means that GOD's wrath has been turned away by the offering of Christ (Roman 3:25; 1John 4:10).

When a man believes in the Lord Jesus Christ he is saved (Acts 16:31); therefore he is already justified, redeemed, reconciled, and cleansed (John 13:10; 1Cor 6:11).  Yet Salvation is also progressive (1Cor 1:18 NASB), and man needs the sanctifying work of the Spirit in the working out of his Salvation (Romans 8:13; 2Cor 3:18; Phil 2:12).  In addition, Salvation in its fullness is to be realized in the future when Christ comes (Hebrews9:28).  

The need for Salvation is found in the sinful nature of man.  The single condition for Salvation is faith.  This is both the gift of GOD, and the responsibility of man (Eph2:8; John 3:16).  The responsibility of a saved man is to live a godly life in separation from the world and in anticipation of the future consummation of his hope (Titus 2:12,13).  
With regard to the eschatological aspect of redemption, Peter speaks of the "Salvation ready to be revealed in the last time" (1Peter 1:5).  The believer has received the Holy Spirit as the earnest or the down payment of his Salvation (Romans 8:23; Eph 1:13,14).  Two further blessings remain for the future: The removal of the fallen nature completely and the reception of a resurrection body.  Paul calls the latter "The redemption of our body" (Romans 8:23), and explains that it will occur at the return of Christ when He will remove the curse which was placed upon both man and nature after Adam fell.  Both Old Testament and New Testament speak of this removal of the curse from nature  (Romans 8:18 - 23; Isa 11:1-16; 65:25) as well as of the resurrection (Dan12:2)."       
            
In conclusion: Everything seems to point to, or hinges directly upon our Salvation. Today, were someone to ask you the question, "Are you saved ?"....Could you answer them with an astounding, unequivocal...YES!!!

O TASTE AND SEE!  

OLD FASHIONED SWEET CORN BREAD   

1   BOX JIFFY CORN MEAL MIX.
1   CUP AUNT JEMIMA BUTTERMILK CORN MEAL MIX.
1   TBLSP.  BAKING POWDER
1   TBLSP. SUGAR.
½   CUP ALL PURPOSE FLOUR.  
2   EGGS
1 ½   CUPS MILK.  
1/4   CUP VEGETABLE OIL.  

DIRECTIONS:  

PREPARE SKILLET BY GREASING WITH VEGETABLE OIL THOROUGHLY.
HEAT A LARGE SKILLET IN 350 F.  OVEN.
IN LARGE MIXING BOWL MIX TOGETHER ALL DRY INGREDIENTS.  
ADD ALL WET INGREDIENTS TO DRY INGREDIENTS AND MIX THROUGHLY WITHOUT BEATING.  
LET SIT ABOUT TWO MINUTES, THEN TURN MIX INTO VERY HOT SKILLET.
BAKE FOR 45 MINUTES IN THE PREHEATED  OVEN.  THE BREAD IS A GOLDEN BROWN COLOR WHEN DONE.  
SPREAD TOP WITH BUTTER AND SERVE WITH FAVORITE MEAL.
